The Vintage People Band, along with Jeff "Doc Diamond", Beth and Jim and the rest of the event volunteers, and the HOA staff who assisted all along the way, want to announce the current total of generous donations made to the Vets Roll charitable organization over the past two evenings of our 5th annual event. While more donations may arrive over the next several days from people who were not able to attend, the current total of donations made by our fellow Carillon neighbors and friends is $3,046.00. Once again, Carillon residents have demonstrated in important ways, their support of a good cause. This year, the Vets Roll organization resonated with so many in our community who are veterans or who have veterans in their family or among their friends. Thank you all of Carillon for supporting the charity event this year. It means so very much to us!

06/15/2018 - The Vintage People Band is sending out this special "Thank You!" to Friendship Village in Schaumburg for having us provide the evening music for their Amerifest event. We enjoyed playing some of our favorite songs from the 50s thru the 80s for the residents and guests.
We also want to thank Friendship Village for allowing our band's sound engineer, Steve, and his staff to install a temporary hearing loop in the parking lot for the outdoor event. Steve, and his father, Tom (a guitar playing member of the band and an audiologist) are very passionate about the sense of hearing and how to preserve and enhance the hearing experience. A number of residents were able to activate their hearing aide "T-coils" to receive a clear and direct feed off of our band's sound mixer.

The Vintage People Band would like to express our sincere "Thank You!"s to our friends and neighbors in Carillon for attending the charity event Saturday evening and for helping support Jonnie's Angels Foundation. We were hoping to offset the loss of a major corporate contributor to the foundation and we ALL did it! "THANK YOU!". Nearly $2,200 was raised, along with the contribution of 467 pairs of the much needed socks!
("When your feet are cold, everything is cold.")
We hope that everyone enjoyed the evening. We certainly enjoyed playing for everyone and we are, again, so thankful for everyone's support of Jonnie's Angels Foundation.
We also introduced a new, original song, authored by John. He wrote it for his wife, Pat, and it is a really nice, slower dance song. "A Dream Come True" (copyright 2017-2018 by John LaSusa):

08/16/2014: The Vintage People Band playing "Devil With A Blue Dress" at the 2014 Carillon Car Show & Summer Fest (recorded live).
The Vintage People Band photo with Ronnie Rice (a mainstay in the New Colony Six band from Chicago) after his performance at Carillon on May 31st, 2014. Ronnie sang a ton of the great songs from the 50s and 60s, and was accompanied for some songs by Skip Griparis (who took Ronnie's place in the New Colony Six and toured with Olivia Newton John). A very enjoyable evening listening to Ronnie sing!!!
PS: Gary, we hope you are with us at the next performance.
